Description

Fastag Sports Pro is a thin, flexible material made of polyurethane components, applied to a carrier for easy handling. The product is developed for digital printed emblems and is compliant to the requirements under Oekotex 100, certificate 1012046 Centexbel.

Application

Fastag Sports Pro has been especially developed for embellishment of shoes and (foot)balls but can be applied to certain types of sportswear garments as well.

Properties

Thin and pliable digital printable foil, for very low temperature application by heat sealing.

Limitations of use

For application to temperature and pressure sensitive textiles, Thermopatch recommends testing the suitability for heat sealing at the advised machine settings.

Physical properties

• Color: White
• Sizes available: maximum 50 cm²
• Washability: up to 40°C when applied to textile.
• Consistency:
  • Total thickness with carrier foil: 20 mm (+/- 10%)
  • Thickness of the material: 0,08 mm (+/- 10%)
  • Weight: 300 g/m² (+/- 10%) including carrier foil
  • 65 % adhesive (+/- 10%)
  • 35 % printable toplayer (+/- 10%)
• Shelf life: best before 12 months.

Before sealing

• Ensure that the shoe or ball is suited for this product; not all the materials are of the same consistency. PVC and PU surfaces are best suited for application. Silicone (rubber) is not suitable for this application
• Please make sure any garment is free of lint, dust, dirt and no seams, zipper, buttons etc. are near the place where the heat sealing will be performed.
  Remark: Good bonding can be affected by fabrics with a dwr (durable water repellent) or FR treatment.

Heat seal instructions

* For an optimal heat sealing result we advise to set the pressure on any large platen pneumatic heat seal press to 3-5 bar on the pressure regulator of the machine, when using the standard issued lower plate. When using smaller sized lower plates, decrease pressure to avoid damage to the transfers.

When heat sealing on balls or shoes, make sure the surface does not melt.

Handling and storage

Keep away from oxidizing agents, from strongly alkaline en strongly acid materials. Store in the original packing, out of direct sunlight, in a cool and dry place.

Health and safety precautions

No specific safety measures are required when working with this product.

Exposure controls / personal protection

We advise to ventilate well at heat sealing activities, since vapours may occur from any textiles being processed.

Hazards identification

The product has not been subjected to classification following the European legislation. Special hazards designation for humans and environment: Not applicable.
