Description

Transfers on a paper carrier medium, for textile identification and decoration. Thermomark provides high-profile identification and marking, economically with heat seal simplicity.

Application

Transfers distinguish ownership, provide inventory control and furnish coding devices over a broad range of applications. Their flexibility and ease of application make them ideal for the display of graphics and type on almost any textile.

Properties

• Industrially washable up to 95°C. Good chemical resistance
• Suitable for all textiles which allow the thermoplastic adhesive to penetrate and bind itself to it and which are resistant to its application temperatures.

Limitations of use

None, when washing instructions of the underlying textile are followed.

Physical properties

Thermal plastic solid, in a variety of colors. Composition and chemical properties:
Resin, plasticizer, wax, cellulose, pigments soluble in cellulose thinner methyl ethyl ketone.

Before sealing

Ensure that the to be marked textile is free of lint, dust, dirt and no seams, zipper, buttons etc. are near the place where the heat sealing will be performed.
Remark: Good bonding can be prevented in pre-conditioned fabrics with a dirt or water repellent coating.

Heat seal instructions

180°C – 200 °C for 3 – 5 seconds at 0.5 kg/cm² pressure on a pneumatic heat seal machine or strong pressure on a manually operated machine.
The transfer has hot peel properties which means that the paper covering the transfer has to be removed immediately after the machine opens.

Storage and shelf life

Transfers have a maximum shelf life of one year, subject to following storage conditions. Keep the transfers in their original packing, out of direct sunlight, in a cool and dry place.

We advise to ventilate well at heat sealing activities, since vapors may occur from any textiles being processed.
