Description
Ready is a two sided material which has been applied with an adhesive layer on the bottom side. The adhesive is a thermoplastic polyurethane that is activated by heat. The topside of the material is applied with a specially developed printable layer. The intermittent carrier textile used is a polyester textile, 55 g/cm².
Below products are available in the Ready product range:
- Ready; for standard applications to textiles, from promotional to industrial workwear purposes
- Ready Stitch; special application without adhesive, for sewing onto textile
- Ready FR; for applications to industrial workwear fabrics with flame retardant properties
- ReadyPly; for standard applications to textiles, from promotional to industrial workwear purposes, with a self adhesive layer added to the normal glue, for easy positioning
- ReadyPly FR; for applications to industrial workwear textiles with flame retardant properties, with a self adhesive layer added to the normal glue, for easy positioning.
Above products are compliant to Oeko Tex 100, product class II under certificate number 1012046 Centexbel. Ready FR and ReadyPly FR are approved on several FR fabrics, for EN ISO 11611 and EN ISO 11612 by Centexbel, Belgium.
Specials:
- Ready Stitch; no adhesive layer but finished with textile instead on the back to make it possible to sew the emblem on
- ReadyPlus; for covering up transfers and emblems at rebranding or repair. The Ready-base textile is provided with an extra layer of grey textile polyester cotton with polyurethane glue for blocking out purposes. ReadyPlus has not been confirmed within the Oeko Tex certificate 1012046 Centexbel, but it has been made up from combined textiles and other components which are conforming to Oeko Tex certificate 1012046 Centexbel.
Application
Digitally printed emblems which are applied to textile or other heat sealable materials by heat, time and pressure, for decoration or identification.
Properties
- Ready, Ready Stitch, ReadyPly Ready FR and ReadyPlus are industrially washable up to 95°C. • Good chemical resistance
- Ready products are suitable for all textiles which allow the thermoplastic adhesive to penetrate and bind itself to it and which are resistant to its application temperatures.
Limitations of use
Ready emblems are washable up to 95 °C industrial washing.

Before sealing
Ensure that the to be marked textile is free of lint, dust, dirt and no seams, zipper, buttons etc. are near the place where the heat sealing will be performed.
Remark:
- Good bonding can be prevented in pre-conditioned fabrics with a dirt or water repellant or flame retardant treatment or coating
- Pre-sealing can amend problems with adhesion on certain repellant or flame retardant coated textiles
- Re-sealing can amend problems with adhesion on certain repellant or flame retardant treated textiles
Heat seal instructions
- Ready, ReadyPly and Ready FR: 185 °C up to 204 °C for 14 to 12 seconds at 0.5 kg/cm²* pressure on a pneumatic heat seal machine, or firm – strong pressure on a manually operated machine
- ReadyPlus: 195 °C up to 204 °C for 18 to 16 seconds at 0.5 kg/cm²* pressure, or strong pressure on a manually operated machine
- Ready Stitch is for stitching on only and cannot be applied by heat sealing.
(*) For an optimal heat sealing result we advise to set the pressure on any large platen pneumatic heat seal press to 3-5 bar on the pressure regulator of the machine, when using the standard issued underplate. When using smaller underplates, decrease pressure to avoid damage to the transfers.
Remark:
- ReadyPlus sometimes shows bubbling on some types of textile. If that occurs, reseal the emblems for another 7-10 seconds.
- Self adhesive products can be difficult to heat seal on thin types of textiles where the self adhesive glue then acts as a barrier. This can be solved by putting a thicker piece of textile underneath the garment which allows the self adhesive to flow through the garment. Any stains will be gone after washing
- Make sure that the sealing plate of the machine is clean and undamaged
- Close the heat seal press with the set temperature, time and pressure
- Remove the garment from the machine after the heat sealing cycle is finished
- Place the next article and repeat above.
Handling and storage
Keep away from oxidising agents, from strongly alkaline and strongly acidic materials. Store out of direct sunlight, in a cool and dry place.
Precautions
No specific safety measures are required when working with this product. We advise to ventilate well at heat sealing activities, since vapours may occur from any material such as textiles being processed.
