HiQ tape/Hytex
HiQ tape, developed by Thermopatch, is a flexible and strong thermal tape with great adhesion. It has been the worldwide standard in the industrial laundry sector for years.

HiQ tape is specially designed for the Thermopatch range of HiQ thermal transfer label printers. It is available in a variety of formats and sizes; as either continuous tape rolls or as die-cut labels. The various products from the HiQ series are mainly used for branding workwear.
On request, HiQ can be pre-printed with a logo or border. This allows for various applications, such as the creation of name tags for the breast pocket of workwear garments.
Several types of HiQ tape are available:
HiQ
HiQ tape is strong and flexible, and can be pre-printed with a logo, border, or text in any colour combination. The tape is available pre-cut in various widths and sizes. Supplied in combination with Thermopatch’s HiQ ink ribbons, this guarantees the best print quality.
HiQ tape is suited for autoclave treatments on most textiles. Fabrics with repellent coatings combined with HiQ labels need to be tested in autoclave circumstances and be confirmed for use on these fabrics.

Hytex
Thermopatch also offers a variant of the successful HiQ tape: Hytex. A Hytex label is actually HiQ tape, but with a self-adhesive layer. This additional layer makes the positioning of a label easier, by keeping the label in place during the sealing process. Hytex is also resistant to intensive washing processes.
HiQ FR
HiQ FR is the right choice for workwear where flame-retardant properties are essential. This variant has the same properties as HiQ tape, but also meets the strict ISO standards EN ISO 15025 and 15797. HiQ FR is available as either continuous tape rolls or die-cut labels.
HiQ-Clean
Tape from this line has a specific thermoplastic adhesive layer that makes it possible to attach it to ‘microfiber polyester’ fabrics and similar synthetic fabrics. This includes specialist workwear in cleanrooms or the micro-electronics, pharmaceutical, and nuclear industries.
Fabrics with repellant coatings combined with HiQ-clean labels need to be tested in and be confirmed for use on these fabrics. HIQ-clean is not autoclave resistant.
HiQ-Clean is available as either continuous or die-cut tape with the same dimensions as other products from the HiQ series.
All variations of HiQ media are certified to the Oeko-Tex Standard 100. However, the product cannot be ironed. If you require calender-resistant labels, Combitex is the ideal option.

Colours HiQ: white, yellow, orange, red, pink, blue, green, high visibility yellow and mint green.
HiQ FR and HiQ-Clean are only available in white.
Inks
A black ink ribbon is supplied as standard in a boxed set.
Ink is also available in red, green, and blue.
Physical properties
Wash resistant up to 95 °C industrial laundry washing.
High heat-sealing temperatures.
Suitable for all textile which allows the thermoplastic adhesive to penetrate and bind itself to it and which is resistant to the advised heat seal application temperatures.

Handling and storage
Keep away from oxidizing agents, from strongly alkaline en strongly acid materials.
Store out of direct sunlight, in a cool and dry place.
Shelf life: estimated more than 2 years under mentioned conditions.
Precautions
No specific safety measures are required when working with this product. We advise always to ventilate well at heat-sealing activities, since vapours may occur from any material such as textiles being processed.

All HiQ media is supplied as a boxed set containing the following: 2 x 50 meter long rolls of label tape, 1 x 104 meter long ink ribbon, and a cleaning pad for cleaning the printhead when replacing the ink ribbon.
