Description

Woven emblems are manufactured of dyed polyester yarns with addition of metallized Lurex yarns certified according to Oeko-Tex® Standard 100, IW 00006.

Application

The woven emblems are an alternative to embroidered emblems, with high quality weaving and fine detail applicable to promotional wear, sportswear and workwear.

Properties

Woven polyester and Lurex emblems with polyurethane or polyamide heat seal adhesive.

Limitations of use

Emblems with low temperature glue applications are washable up to 40 °C colored home washing. Emblems with high temperature glue applications are washable up to 60 °C industrial colored washing

Before sealing

Ensure that the to be marked textile is free of lint, dust, dirt and no seams, zipper, buttons etc. are near the place where the heat sealing will be performed.
Remark: Good bonding can be prevented in pre-conditioned fabrics with dwr (durable water repellent) or FR (flame retardant) coatings.

Heat seal instructions

• Woven Emblems are provided with a thermoplastic adhesive layer for adhesion to textile
• Woven emblems standard: 160 / 15 sec. / at 0.5 kg/cm²*, wash resistant up to 60˚C
• Woven emblems low temp : 140 ˚C / 15 sec. / at 0.5 kg/cm²*, washable up to 40˚C

(*) For an optimal heat sealing result we advise to set the pressure on any large platen pneumatic heat seal press to 3-5 bar on the pressure regulator of the machine, when using the standard issued lower plate. When using smaller lower plates, decrease pressure to avoid damage to the woven emblems.

Handling and storage

Keep away from oxidising agents, from strongly alkaline and strongly acidic materials. Store in the original packing, out of direct sunlight, in a cool and dry place.
Storage temperature: – 20 °C – +115 °C.

No specific safety measures are required when working with this product.

Exposure controls / personal protection

We advise to ventilate well at heat sealing activities, since vapours may occur from any textiles being processed.

Hazards identification

The product has not been subjected to classification following the European legislation. Special hazards designation for humans and environment: not applicable.
